Dealing with dull, pale and blemished skin? Is it crying out for help? Are the environmental factors like pollution, chemicals and dust taking their toll on it? Therefore, including them in our daily diet as fresh fruit or as healthy fruit snack is essential for our wellbeing.

Fruits are full of powerful antioxidants and other vital nutrients that help to protect the skin from cellular damage caused by free radicals. Here are the benefits of fruits, both to eat and apply on your face as a mask.

 

The Marvellous Mango

Rich in vitamins A, E C & K, mangoes pack a punch when it comes to keeping you and your skin in good health. Together with this, the beta-carotene, flavonoids, polyphenolics in the fruit also help hugely in rejuvenating the skin by preventing DNA damage and reducing inflammation.

In fact, mangoes are already integral to the cosmetic industry and are used in making body butter and skin creams and have shown to have excellent healing properties.

Mix mango pulp with rose water and some lemon juice and apply on your face. Wash off after 10 minutes and say hello to a glowing, happy you!

Take 3 tablespoons of orange juice or 1 tablespoons powder of dried orange peels. Mix 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of milk, ½ teaspoon turmeric powder and 2 teaspoons of honey and apply. Rinse off after 15 minutes and marvel at the glow on the skin!
