Baked Mac & Cheese Muffins

You can’t get much better than mac and cheese. It’s a well-loved western favorite and all the kids who’ve had their Mum make them macaroni when they’re hungry will definitely like this pop in your mouth snacks. All you have to do is make the macaroni (make sure that the sauce is thick) beforehand, put a dollop each in the muffin tray and add some extra cheese and breadcrumbs on top. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 15 minutes and your snacks is ready.


Bean and Cheese Burrito

These are super simple to make school snacks for kids. Just boil some kidney beans and toss them in a seasoning mix like salt, pepper, paprika, butter etc. Get some wheat tortillas and line with a coleslaw of shredded lettuce, onions, cabbage, and carrots. Throw in some sliced bell peppers and chopped up tomatoes. Garnish with cheese and roll the burrito. You can make up some and throw them in your freezer. Take them out when you need them or put them in your kid’s school lunch box.


Monster Sandwich

A little creative tinkering and garnishing and you’ll have revamped your sandwiches. All you need to do is, cut the sandwiches into round shapes; add eyes and monster teeth with olives and carrots respectively and voila! Play around with different monster faces to keep your child guessing!

This is a perfect snack when it is hot outside and your kids come needing something cold and refreshing. When its hot and they have either been walking or riding bikes to school, they need cold snacks to cool off with. These are perfect and quick to make!

Including mushrooms, bell peppers, sweet corn, baby corn and so on, the list is never-ending. Just flavor it with garlic, chili flakes, salt, and pepper. Easy, wholesome and delicious.


Fruit Parfait

These are delicious and would work perfectly as a side to your kid’s school lunch or even as an after school snack! Just cut up different fruits in varying shapes and add it in a separate box for your child.
